One of the reasons that the shipping costs on Pipe Fittings are calculated&charged separately is that the shipping rate(per KG) would drop when shipment gets heavier. We want to pass this benefit direcrly on to our customers. For example today(May 15, 2023) UPS Expedited's price for a 1kg shipment from China to the US is USD 23 and for a 11kgs shipment it's USD 91 by Fedex IP(6-9 work days), which would be USD 91/11=8.2 USD per kg, it's a big difference compared to the rate of 1kgs shipment and the gap would be even bigger when there's multiple items in your cart.

It's also a fact that the items such as gaskets, ferrules, adaptors, reducers and clamps are not heavy and in many cases they are less than 0.5kgs, it saves money if we do combined shipping and not include shipping costs in the price of each of items.
